Even though the city is filled with museums and arts institutions, Mumbaikars and visitors are largely familiar with only a handful. These include grand, historical institutions such as the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, National Gallery of Modern Art and the Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum.
There are a host of smaller, specialist places, as it were, that tell compelling narratives of the city and the country. Take this walk if you want to wander beyond the usual tourist circuit.
You have to start this route from Phillips Antique, Colaba.
